Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between page loads and between visits, such as the cookie settings you already chose.

Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by a third-party service running on the page. Some disappear when you close the tab. Others stay on your device for months.

This page explains exactly which ones this website uses, what each one does, and how to get rid of them.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

Necessary cookies keep the site functional and remember the cookie choice you made. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot do the basic job you came for. We rely on legitimate interest for these, under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).

Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is actually used, such as which pages people read, where they stop scrolling, and what they click. These are set only with your consent under Article 6(1)(a).

Nothing beyond the necessary cookies is set until you accept it. If you never answer the banner, nothing extra is ever set.

3. The Cookies We Actually Set

For your cookie choice, we store a single entry called vediwood_consent in your browser. It records what you accepted so we do not ask again on every page. It stays until you clear your browser storage.

If you accept analytics, Microsoft Clarity sets two cookies. _clck is a visitor identifier and is stored for one year. _clsk groups your page views into a single visit and is stored for one day. Microsoft may set further identifiers on its own clarity.ms domain.

If you refuse analytics, none of the Clarity cookies are created, because the script that would create them is never loaded.

4. How to Control Cookies

The easiest way is the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of any page on this site. Open it, change your choice, and save. It takes effect immediately.

You can also control cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you refuse new cookies, delete existing ones, or warn you before one is set. The steps live in your browser settings under Privacy.

Blocking necessary cookies in your browser may break parts of this or any other website. Refusing our analytics cookies will not. You keep full access to everything here.

5. Third-Party Cookies

When you accept analytics cookies, we load Microsoft Clarity, which sets the cookies described in section 3. Clarity masks the text on the page before recording it. Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement (opens in a new tab).

Our discovery call booking is provided by Cal.com and may set its own cookies when you interact with the booking widget. That happens only if you use the widget.

We do not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking cookies on this website.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we add or remove a cookie, we update this page and change the date at the top.

A new cookie category will always require a fresh choice from you. We will not quietly slip a new tracker under a consent you gave for something else.

7. Contact Us

If you have questions about our use of cookies, email hello@vediwood.com.

Our Privacy Policy explains the wider picture: what data we collect, who processes it, and what rights you have over it.
